When it comes to shopping for an outfit, I take into account many things, such as the color, fit, fabric, and of course, price. The price point is a such a big part of my shopping decisions because, to be honest, I’m on a budget
I know...with all of the clothes that I buy it might not seem like I have a budget but trust me, I do. So before you start buying clothes, ALWAYS know your budget and have a plan. Being strategic with your money will get you more bang for your buck!
First, I like finding great outfits that are not only affordable but that are also fashionable! If you can find clothing that can easily be worn in multiple ways then that’s a great way to save some cash...and who doesn’t like saving money?!
Next, find a few basic pieces. For example, if I find a solid tee that fits me well, I will buy it in a few colors. This way, I can easily create different outfits by adding a cardigan or changing the bottoms, like swapping jeans for a skirt.
Then, start looking for the sales, shopping on Amazon, or buying certain items that might cost a little more but will last you a few years! Even though it might seem like styles come and go, I would say most fashion trends stick around for a couple of years. Perfect example is striped shirts and ankle booties. They’ve done really well for fall the past 3-4 years (or even longer). That means if you buy quality boots over the dupes, you could wear them longer which means more money in the bank!
In addition, try shopping towards the end of each major season to find the best fashion pieces on clearance and chances are they will still be in style next season! But my biggest piece of advice for clothes shopping is knowing what you’re looking for and not overspending because when you overspend you end up having regrets which usually leads to returns. Oh and another tip...if you’re going to try on clothes in store, be sure you feel good. Whether that means shaving your legs, applying your makeup, or styling your hair, just be sure that you’re feeling beautiful inside and out!
Hope you all enjoyed this and I can’t wait to share more money saving tips with you all soon!
